Fort in-12 half calf with corners, spine with 4 raised bands, decorated with a stamped blond calf title piece, red edges, pretty joints with three grooves, 121 x 90, 1622, multiple pagination.: address from 1571 to Scipioni Gonzaga Marchioni, 2p.; Index, 2p. Then Orationum – The speeches, paginated 10 to 351. Followed by Observatoines nonnulae in locos obseutiores historiarum quae his orationibus sunt intermistae, paginated 352-370. Then Orationum volumen secunda, 371-590, including address and index. Related: Epistolarum, paginated 5-267. Then Hymnorum sacro / Poemata, 268-320 including Prologus in Phormionem terentii. Beautiful italic font of the characters, except for the notes in the margin. Condition: six leaves properly restored in the margin including the title page in the inside margin; some underlining and/or exceptionally handwritten marginal notes for the first 8 speeches. Then clean. Covers, corners and fields rubbed but good. Covers a little blackened. Joints rubbed but intact. Spine rubbed with abrasions to the nerves, headpiece and tail but no loss. Title pieces rubbed and darkened.
