Small folio (30.5 x 23.5 cm) in a slipcase with slightly moiré blue and copper stripes, full blond reversed leather with overlapping edges, long spine decorated with the title and two friezes in an art deco style, gilded top edge, covers decorated with a wavy gilded filer (erased on the lower cover), pretty paper on the endpapers and pastedowns in an art deco style, mauve silk bookmark, unpaginated, 1922. 2 blank leaves, publisher's leaf and finish printing, half-title, engraved title, followed by the 14 leaves of the work. Then justification of the print run, and 2 blank leaves. First edition numbered 69 out of four hundred copies in the translation by Leo Johannes Feddersen. This print run is justified in full leather with full-page engravings signed by the artist by hand. Engraved title and eleven original engravings, printed under the direction of the artist on the hand press of the State Academy of Graphic Arts and Book Trade in Leipzig. Distributed as follows: 5 signed full-page engravings, and 1 heading, 1 small vignette and a drop cap, and three large vignettes in the text. The composition and printing of the text were carried out at the Walbaum-Antiqua on handmade paper under the direction of Professor Georg A. Mather in the workshops of the State Academy. All bindings are handmade in the workshop of H. Sperling in Leipzig. Interior impeccable, clean and intact. Skin in good condition, rubbed with light scuffs and rare stains. Spine lightly rubbed but in good condition. Slipcase slightly sunned and rubbed with small tears at the corners, and a small dent on the spine.
