very nice half-Havana sheepskin with corners, long spine very richly decorated on the boxes and adorned with a title label, a volume number, and the date of publication, all edges combed, double edging on the corners and covers, 215 x 140, 1829. 431 and 496 p. With morning table for the two volumes at the end of the second volume. First edition. Limited edition of 1000 copies. (Vicaire VI-475, Caillet 8404, Quérard VII-13, taken from giquelloetassocies). Clean and intact interiors. Rubbed corners and fields, one very slightly blunt head corner. Covers lightly rubbed with some light scuffs; rubbed joints but intact. Rubbed spine with scuffs on the ribs, headcap and tail. Very fine copy, very firm. This collection offers the history and often the complete text of many wills. The first is that of Plato, who died in 348 BC, the last is that of Helloin, who died in 1828. It is in this work that the complete will of Napoleon is printed for the first time (Quérard; taken from giquelloetassocies).
