Ancient and modern uses of southern Belgium and a small number of towns in France, Avesnes, 1846, First edition. Frontispiece (plate 7). Foreword, 5p. And 499p. With 6 plates of coats of arms out of text, and 1 of score and lyrics of the song “El’Doudou”. Interior with foxing, but clean. Flats, corners and fields rubbed but intact. Bits rubbed with scuffs. Headdress and tail (more strongly) with scuffs. Back with claws. Beautiful, firm copy. Note on the upper cover a superb ex-libris “Vernet Ruiz” in the form of a map of the Oise (Senlis etc.)
