Copy enriched on the half-title page with a beautiful dedication from the author signed and dated to the French ambassador Jean Rivière [1897-1962, Diplomat. Head of the works department in 1941. Placed on leave by the Vichy government in September 1943, he represented France in Dublin, The Hague, Prague (1949-1952), Brussels (1952-1956), then Lisbon with the title of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary.]. Uncut from page 65. With 21 full color pages in addition to the title page, including 4 color drawn maps. Interior very good, with very rare foxing at the beginning of the volume.
